Ben Larkin, DVM
Veterinarian
Licensed in Idaho
Ben grew up in Pocatello and came to Boise for a first job at an animal shelter, where he stayed long enough to know he wanted to practice medicine for the people who adopt from one. He joined Wagtail in 2018.
He does most of our surgeries and dental procedures, and he’s the vet people ask for when a dog is getting older and the questions get harder: how much is too much pain, what is worth testing, what can we simply make more comfortable. He writes his plans down so you aren’t trying to remember them in the car.
On weekends he bikes the Greenbelt with a basset hound named Hank in a trailer, which Hank tolerates.
