Dental care
Teeth are half of your pet’s health
Most dogs and cats over three have some dental disease, and most of it is below the gumline. A proper cleaning means anesthesia, X-rays and monitoring, so we can see and treat what a brush can’t. We don’t offer anesthesia-free cleanings, because they only polish what’s visible.
Start with a $45 dental consult: a vet looks, tells you what they see and gives you a written estimate with no obligation. A $25 deposit holds your time and comes off your bill.
- Pre-anesthetic exam and bloodwork
- Full-mouth X-rays, a vet-led cleaning and monitoring
- Written estimate for any extractions before we start
- Home-care tips from Tess, free at any visit

Senior care
Comfort, mobility and good days
We call a dog or cat a senior around seven, and we’ll watch them more closely from there. Longer visits let us look at joints, teeth, weight and muscle, check their eyes and heart, and talk through what you’ve noticed at home.
Bloodwork and a urine test are optional, and we explain what each one can and can’t tell us. We write down a plan for every visit, so you can take it home and think. If a pet is struggling, we’ll help you decide when it’s time to say goodbye, with a quiet appointment and no waiting room.
- Senior visits are 45 minutes, $82
- Pain relief plans made by a vet, never over-the-counter guesses
- Quiet end-of-life appointments, with cremation arranged if you’d like

In-house lab
Answers while you’re still here
Our lab runs the tests we use most: bloodwork, urinalysis, stool tests, heartworm and feline leukemia tests. When your pet is sick, most results come back within the hour, so we can decide what to do before you leave rather than the next afternoon.
For tests we send out (biopsies, some specialty panels), we’ll tell you how long it takes and what it costs first.
- Bloodwork, urine and stool tests
- Heartworm and feline leukemia tests
- Most results within the hour
What a visit looks like
About thirty minutes for a wellness exam, longer for a first visit.
- 1
We check in
Sam or Renee asks what’s changed since last time and takes your pet’s weight. We’ll show cats straight to a room.
- 2
The exam
A vet or technician goes through your pet from nose to tail, with you in the room, and tells you what they see as they go.
- 3
A plan, in writing
You get what we found, what we recommend and what each part costs. You choose what to do and when.
- 4
Paying and next steps
Pay at the desk or by a secure link we email you. Any reminders come by email when something is due.
Questions about a visit
Do I need an appointment?
Yes for almost everything, and you can book online any hour. Nail trims and weight checks are walk-in during open hours when the lab and exam rooms aren’t full. For a sick pet, call or book a sick visit: we hold the last hour of each weekday for them.
Can I stay with my pet during the exam?
Almost always, yes. Most pets are calmer with their person in the room. For a blood draw or a procedure, a technician may take your pet to the treatment area, and we’ll tell you before we do.
Which pets do you see?
Dogs and cats. We don’t treat rabbits, birds, reptiles or other exotics, but we’re glad to point you to a Boise clinic that does.
Do you board or groom?
No. We don’t offer boarding, grooming or day care, so our waiting room is quiet and your pet never has to share a kennel with strangers. Ask us and we’ll tell you who we send our own pets to.
My cat hates the carrier. Any advice?
You’re not alone. Leave the carrier out at home with a blanket and treats a few days before the visit, and tell Sam when you arrive: we’ll take you straight to a room instead of the waiting area.
Ready to book?
Pick a time online, or call and Sam will find one with you.
