A bright, pale-green clinic reception with staff helping two clients at the desk

A link we send you

How pay links work

This is a link we send you, not an account to log in to. When your visit is done, or an estimate needs a deposit, Renee emails you a link that opens a secure card payment page. Pay there on your phone, and you’ll get a receipt by email.

There’s no portal to remember a password for, and we never ask for a card number by email, text or phone. If you’d rather pay at the desk with a card, cash or check, that’s always fine too.

  • Pay by card on your phone, no account needed
  • Used for bills, deposits and balances
  • A receipt arrives by email right away

The short version

Three steps, no log-ins.

  1. 1

    We email a link

Renee sends it to the email we have on file, usually while you’re still putting your pet in the car.

  2. 2

    You pay on your phone

The link opens a secure payment page. Check the amount matches your estimate or invoice.

  3. 3

    You get a receipt

It arrives by email right away. Keep it for pet-insurance claims.

Deposits

Some visits take a small deposit

Dental consults ($25) and puppy or kitten visits ($20) take a deposit when you book online. It holds your time and comes off your bill at the visit. Cancel or move your appointment up to 24 hours ahead and it goes straight back to your card.

For bigger procedures, such as a dental cleaning or surgery, we may ask for a deposit when you accept the estimate, and we’ll email a link for it.

If a link ever looks odd

Our links come from hello@wagtailboise.com, and the amount always matches an estimate or invoice we’ve given you. If an email asks you to pay and you aren’t sure, don’t click: call us at (208) 555-0142 and Renee will check.

We can’t set up payment plans or interest-free financing, but we’re glad to talk about options for a bigger estimate before you commit.

Paying for care

How much is a wellness exam?

A wellness exam is $69, and a puppy or kitten exam is $49. Vaccines, tests and anything else are priced separately and listed on our fees page. For anything over $250, you get a written estimate first.

Do you take pet insurance?

We bill you, and you claim with your insurer. We’ll give you an itemized invoice, fill out the vet’s part of your claim form, and send records to the insurer for free.

What can I pay with?

Credit and debit cards, cash and checks at the front desk, or a secure pay link we email you. Details are on our pay page.

How do deposits work?

A few appointments, like dental consults and puppy or kitten visits, take a small deposit when you book online. It comes off your bill. Cancel or move your visit up to 24 hours ahead and it goes back to your card.

What if I need to cancel?

Use the link in your confirmation email, up to 24 hours before the visit. Later than that, please call: life happens, and we’d rather hear from you than wonder.
